A thrilling and suspenseful fictional story inspired by true events. The Boys in the Water brings insight to our current ideology of the spiritual world and life after death, and questions how we honor those who have lost their lives while serving our country. A page turner that will keep you up at night wanting to read more and watching for signs of unseen connections in your own life. Powerful, touching, and heartfelt, this book will give you a newfound compassion for the struggle of spirits who have passed away but were unable to pass on. This is a must-read book that once started cannot be put down.
We are scientists, we depend on hard evidence to validate everything we do. We did not search for a story such as this, it was given to us. We were faced with a moment in time, where there was no hard evidence other than what we had both seen with our own eyes. There is no doubt for either of us that this story wanted to be told. From the moment we felt called on to write a book together, to the final words and images, ready to print, took just over three weeks. What makes this timeline even more amazing is that during those three weeks we were both working full time, managing doctoral studies, balancing our family needs and navigating a raging storm that had hit the island of Oahu.
Like us, we are certain when you read this story you will have many questions, so do we. Like us, you will wonder which parts are true and which parts are not, we wonder too. Like us you may find yourself questioning those times in your life when what you experienced or witnessed seemed unreal, but you cannot say that it did not happen, you cannot simply blame it on the moon. This is our struggle too. We found ourselves part of something we could not explain and could not ignore. This is a fictional story inspired by true events, and after writing it, we too have many questions, and we too wonder...if it is time to do what this book is calling us to do...
